Books About Town

This summer I was delighted to be involved in 'Books About Town' - a trail of Book Benches that brightened up central London, each designed by a different artist.  My bench 'Always Try To Be A Little Kinder Than Is Necessary' was inspired by the magical world of Peter Pan, and was sponsored by Mishcon De Reya.  The bench spent the summer in Red Lion Square, London.

On October 7th 2014, all 50 benches were auctioned off at the Southbank Centre London, raising an incredible £251,000 for the National Literacy Trust - the money goes towards increasing literacy levels in Britain's most disadvantaged areas.  My bench raised an impressive £8000 - the 6th highest price of all the benches.  Read the full story of the auction here.
